My Introduction

My First Blog Post

Hello,

I want to make my first blog post a simple one. More of an introduction and maybe a little of what you can expect from this page. I am in my 50s, separated almost 5 years now and I have 2 adult children. I currently live with my daughter, Chrissy. We have 2 dogs. Chrissy has a Feist terrier mix named Bella Luna but we call her Luna. Her face is half black and half white.  I have a toy rat terrier. Her name is Gracie Lou Freebush and she’s a feisty one! Gracie Lou is head of the house, top man on the totem poll and all around boss lady. All 11 pounds of her! Can you guess what movie her name comes from? Comment if you know or care to guess!  If I can figure out how, I’ll add a picture of them on this post. Lord help me figure out how!! Lol!  :}

In that note, I love the Lord with all my heart. He is my Savior, my Father, My refuge and my Strength. I trust fully in Him. I try to read my Bible daily and I talk with Him all the time! We’re buds! I also attend a great church where I recently became a member. I attend with my Mother and my Brother and his Wife. Chrissy rarely has a Sunday off with her busy work life. But more on that on another post.

My son, Joey, lives in NC with his wife, Kristi of 13 years and my Grandson, Ryan who is 9. I miss them!

I love to write, Ive written stories and poems and kept many journals over the years. My stories and poems sit in colorful notebooks on a dusty book shelf. I don’t know what to do with them or where else to put them. So I thought this would be an outlet for me. A place where I can share some of the things I did and am in the process of doing now.

I’d also like this to be an extension of my YouTube channel: My Well Rounded Life. I started that channel with Dollar Tree Hauls and have moved into mostly weight loss videos. I have a variety of interests and many different kinds of videos on my channel, hence the name. I just started a new hobby…acrylic pour painting. I love it! So this will be a new type of video you can find on MY Well Rounded Life.

I am a recent Weight Watchers member and I follow the Freestyle plan. I joined the week before Easter 2018 and have lost 33 pounds so far. My goal is to get down to a healthy weight, reverse type 2 diabetes, lose the high cholesterol and get off all these meds. I’m succeeding…slowly. If you know anything about diabetes then you’ll understand how awesome it is for me to have my A1c drop from 9.6 to 6.0 in the first 3 months of my weight loss journey. A miracle to say the least! I’ve dropped 2 of the 4 diabetic meds I had been taking for years and also lowered my thyroid medication. I can hardly wait for my next quarterly Endo appointment! PTL!
